The problem stops after 1..Nc3. but it should go further, is it because of 1 bc3
Ne5  2 de5 Qd5 ?  It is not clear why White would resign after 1..Nc3.

In that case, does 1..Ne5 ( as I intended to play ) work as well ?

I believe the problem needs to be improved or removed in order to stay in the selection.
I supposed it is a newly added position.

The tactic stopped here as there is an even exchange of material after this point.  Usually this avoids useless exchanges after the tactical point as been made, however here it is cutting the sequence at a point which makes it hard to see what is going on.

The 1 bc3 Ne5 2 de5 sequence appears to end up with the white bishop on d3 hanging (eventually) due to the pin.

1..Ne5 is rated as about 3 pawns worse than Nc3 after white replies with Be4

Whilst I think that Nc3 is probably the correct move here, I agree that the problem as is makes it pretty hard to see it. Usually in these situations clicking on the computer icon to see how the computer sees best play by both sides sheds some light on the situation.  Here however the situation is still unclear after seeing that sequence (at least to me).

I'll add this to the "if I can't get the generator to remove it, remove it by hand" list :-)

Regards,
Richard.

I still dont understand the problem, what happened after 1 bc3 Ne5 2 fe5 for instance.
By the way, when I click on "switch to analysis" nothing happens. How should I use this feature ?

1 bc3 Ne5 2 fe5   continues (according to the engine):
.. Qxd5 3 e4 fxe4 4 Be2 e3 5 Rf3 (Bf3 leads to same outcome) Rxf3 6 Bxf3 Qxf3 7 Qxf3 Bxf3

So the bishop is still done for. It seems the computer has seen that after the initial move the loss of a piece is inevitable.

The show analysis button extends the move sequence to show the computer's predicted best line after the tactic moves finish.  After you click it , you should be able to move further forward through the move sequences.

 Regards,
Richard.
