I am pretty much a beginner. Have played some and studied some books, but can't I start with puzzles more geared to my levev?

Get the silver membership and you can start with all the problems where you have mate in one move.  Then you can do all the problems with mate in two moves.  Then you could do all the problems that are rated less than 1000 Standard.  Then do problems up to 1100 Standard, etc.  You can make any kind of training program you can imagine with the silver membership.  Perfect training for beginners.

Hi highly (highly (highly)) second Drahacik's comment (he is a FIDE master, so he doesn't need my approving, but still...).

Get a silver membership, and for a very low price you will have one year of an excellent experience, and you will be able to select any problem set.

You will learn a lot by:

1) spending most of the time doing low level problems (so to burn the patterns in your brain) and
2) from time to time, do some rated tests, to track your progress.

Welcome, and good luck!
