...I find that it is difficult to maintain a 1890 rating with a correct percentage of 55%.

Glicko should be trying to give you problems such that at any given ability you get as  close to 50% of them right as possible.  This is not always perfect and for the highest rated players there is not enough difficult problems to achieve this. The average % success across all users is very close to 50%.
