Thanks tama,
I was able to accurately determine the point in the log where this occurred and it was definitely caused by time lag between client and server. I disregard problems which have a time lag over a certain threshold as it is possible in these cases that users have changed the computer clock. Unfortunately there are other reasons that the lag may occur. If for example one of your network packets gets lost between your browser and the chess tempo server the browser will eventually resend the packet, if more than packet is lost the browser will assume the network is congested and will wait a little longer. I suspect this is probably what happened in your case, you may have had 2 or more packets dropped which significantly delayed the time for your response to reach my server, hence the lag.
I've just made two changes. The first is to increase the threshold slightly so a longer lag will be tolerated and when a lag occurs the problem rating will not show up as 0, however you will still get 0 points for the problem. Looking a the logs the problem doesn't occur very often (especially for you - you probably have a reasonable quality network connection) and will occur much less often now that the threshold has been increased.
Regards,
Richard.

Why would someone change their computer clock in standard mode?

I check for time drift in both standard and blitz, while I only use time for ratings in blitz I keep stats for time and average time on both and don't want clock drifts to corrupt the stats.

There is an old bug that is bottering me, for a will know i get a problem correct and the pop up on the right comes up in green but theres nothing writen inside and i get no points for the problem i just get a green box lol. I get this bug very offen about 3 times every time i play.
I stopped my session right when i didnt get points for a correct anser, because its abit anoing and i felt like complaining lol. so you can check the logs to try and fix the problem but it usualy happens when i take more then 5 min to solve a problem and the site response slower then usuale.
Ill wait for a replay before i continue playing.

Not sure this is a bug in Richard's system. Are you on wireless? I used to use this site with wireless and got this all the time. Once I switched to a LAN hardwire I don't have this problem anymore.

Hi tama,
The situation you describe arises when the browser tried to connect to the server to notify problem completion, but could not connect to the server. Unfortunately there are a few points at which that failure could have occured. Your connection to the internet may have had issues, the CT server may have had issues or any host/router between the CT server and you may have had issues. Currently the browser should do its best to try to complete the connection but sometimes the failure is permanent. I could probably add some code to try a bit harder to reconnect in this situation, I've added this to the todo list.
Regards,
Richard.
