dragging the pieces?
«

Is there any way I can change the settings so I can click on the piece I want to move and then click on the square I want it to move to?
Right now I have to click and hold and drag the piece.
I have a laptop with a touch pad....so sometimes I drop the piece too early by accident.

I also prefer to click on the to- and from- squares, when possible, instead of dragging. I think that Richard mentioned a more customizable board as being on the to-do list. Maybe there are free chess display programs out there with more features than the current one?

"Click and place" style moving is on the realtive short term todo list, mainly because it is required for the iphone which does not support drag and drop within it's browser (it interprets it as an attempt to scroll the web page rather than drag the pieces).
Regards,
Richard.
