To WEB-site master!
There is a maulfunction when I try to solve chess problems under Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.6! Often I can't see one of pieces(image not loaded) and it makes me go wrong!

So... I have been forced to use Konqueror Sad

(Used software: Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.6 under Linux SUSE 10.3)

Hi kagamisorano, I also use Firefox under SUSE Linux 10.3.  I had some problems with slow response time on Chess Tempo when my browser was Firefox version 2.  Richard (the person who runs the site) recommended that I upgrade to the more recent Firefox version 3, so I did and the issue went away (mostly).  I'm not sure if it will fix the problem you mention, but it's worth a try.

Hi kagamisorano,

Usually missing pieces are caused by the browser not being able to load the image of the piece.  If this persists beyond the first problem, then this is usually an issue with a caching proxy server (which may be invisible to you), caching the first failed request and refusing to retry to load the piece image. Having said that, You are not the first person to see similar problems on that platform, unfortunately I haven't been able to reproduce the exact problem myself. In addition to the possible causes for missing pieces mentioned above, I suspect there may also be a rendering issue specific to Firefox 2 and Linux, if you are able to , you can try upgrading to Firefox 3 as suggested by Revenant and see if that helps.

Regards,
Richard.
