Membership information.

I was wondering: is there any place where we can check our membership information and expiry date? In my profile, I was expecting to see something like: “Silver Member through dd/mm/yy”, with possibly a button to extend / upgrade the membership when getting close to expiry date, but I cannot find anything like this.

I know that, when subscribing via paypal, you get automatically enrolled into a yearly payment, but I cancelled that one (simply because I don’t like automatic payments, I’d rather take care of them myself…).

Unfortunately for now your paypal information is the only indication of when your membership will renew (or expire for those who cancel to avoid auto-renewal).  It shouldn't be too hard to add the expiry information to the users stats page (probably a private option, viewable only by the user and not others).

Just to tickle this thread: Is there any option for non-auto-renew payments?  I'd really like to pay (this is a great site!), but I won't sign up for any kind of "automatically renewing" subscription (especially through PayPal).

Hi Charles,

There is currently no non-autorenew, the easiest way to achieve that is to subscribe and then immediately cancel your subscription, cancelling your subscription doesn't literally cancel the subscription, it simply stops it from renewing at the end of the subscription period (but this may not suit you if you don't like dealing with auto-renewal with paypal - personally I find paypal quite annoying and when I have time I'll be looking around for something more flexible (it is very annoying for both the  user and me to upgrade subscriptions for example) ).
