Sometimes after I logout of CT and later login, my current problem set changes from a personal one to Standard Rated. I know it happened today because the problems I was doing before logout were from the set 1100-1299 ngr. This reset doesn't always happen. I did logout/login just now, and my problem set preference stayed on the personal set. I think that the reset to Standard Rated happened to me a couple of times in the past, but I wasn't expecting it, so I couldn't remember for sure what set I was doing just before logout. This time I knew what to look for.

Thanks newlook,

I'd noticed this myself a few days ago but haven't been able to track down the root cause yet.  Was the problem set previous to your current one standard? i.e. were you doing standard and then switched to the personal problem set during the session, but when you logged back in the standard set was selected again or does this seem to be independent of the problem set you previously had set? The reason I ask is that I have a theory that sometimes (not sure exactly when) selecting the problem set using the selector beneath the board is only effective for the current session. If the bug is here then in might be safer to use the preferences dialog to select the problem set until I can resolve whatever is going wrong here.

Regards,
Richard.

I think I did use the selection button beneath the board. I have also noticed that sometimes the two methods are not in synch.

I usually check the set before I start doing problems anyway, but I forgot today. It's not a big deal, easy to remedy with a little care, but just thought you should know. Thanks.

I've noticed when I work on a problem set on one computer, and I go to another computer later, my Preferences show a different problem set (probably the last one I was working on with that other computer).  I never use the selector under the board to choose problem sets.  I always use the Preferences.

The board size, however, seems to carry over from one computer to another.  (I use 95 or 105 on my desktop and 85 on my laptop, so when I switch computers I always need to change the board size).
