Problems we get right but lose points on (because we took too much time) often have as much potential learning value as problems we plain got wrong.  It would be nice to see such problems pointed out in some way on the stats page and to be able to search & generate problem sets based on this criterion.

On the stats page, currently a player with my style (take extra time to figure out tough problems even if it means dropping points, rather than guess & gamble) will often see a long string of 15 or 20 rows that are highlighted in green, giving the false impression that the player was "hot" or "on a roll" that day even though the net rating gain for the run was nil because the minuses counterbalanced the pluses.  How about highlighting the "got it right but lost points anyway" rows in yellow?  The "caution" color.  "Caution!  You only *think* you're good.  You need to do better."  ;-)

In the "Show problem attempts" area of the problem search dialogue box, you could add two new possibilities the user can check off:  "Problems I have lost points on at least once" and "Problems I have always lost points on."  Or perhaps there are better ways to word them so that the (rather subtle) distinction is not lost on users who are new to the site.  If it were just up to me, CT would soon become a busy buzzing nest of "creeping features".  :-)

Hi Revenant,

Again great feature suggestions.  As well as adding to the search criteria I could also create a search filter for the problem history and add a "create problem set from the current filter".  Add to the "feature creep" list :-)

Regards,
Richard.

I think that the average seconds for solving the problem is inaccurate, why not make it so it only averages the people that got the problem correct and make that the average seconds for solving the problem, because more then half the people don take there time and get it wrong so the average seconds to solve it isn’t realistic.

tama, that's the way it is now.  The average seconds only counts the people who got it correct.
